How old do I have to be to get a commercial drivers License?
You must be 18 years old to hold a commercial driver license (CDL), and 21 to drive out of your licensed state.

Have High School Diploma or GED. Get a DOT Physical. Pass a written test at the department of licensing (DOL) to obtain your CDL Have proof of residency. Permit by the end of the 1st week of class.

How long will it take to get my CDL?
Class A is 4 weeks, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
Class B is 3 weeks, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
Upgrade to a Class A is 2 weeks, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
